Its Friday, its Boxing Day, Its the Vroom Room come in make yourself comfortable, enjoy the cappuccino and biscotti, join the conversation.
Hopefully you had a memorable, and wonderful Christmas with family and friends, and Santa was good to you.
This is the last Vroom Room of 2014, by our quick count we have done 234 Vroom Room so far. Agreed it all ads up through the years.
Did we all live a bit more, learned a bunch more stuff, and loved a lot more in 2014?
Let's hope we all did, even if events a times would show the contrary. Not a bad thing to be optimistic, and perhaps naive for a few fleeting moments.
Christmas with no snow...strange!
Are you wondering what a "caffe sospeso" is all about? Its fits in well with showing a bit of love.
Our usual old race cars from the Goodwood Members Meeting.
Its Friday, its the last Vroom Room before Christmas, come in make yourself comfortable, enjoy the cappuccino and biscotti, join the conversation.
Wow...where did the time go this year?
Before we forget, take a look at the Acura NSX Concept that will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show.
We agree...between the gyrations of the global markets, the price of oil, the status of real estate values, accompanied by th various opinions and speculations from a myriad of analysts, and pundits. Its been an interesting week in Canada.
We often read or hear about passion, in our case The Colonel has been passionate about cars and the auto business for a few decades. Its still going strong, he is signaling that he has no intentions of slowing down, actually he might step it up next year.
It will be interesting to see what content The Colonel develops for 2015.
The best Christmas gift is spending time with family and friends, our suggestion is to simply enjoy your family, friends, good food, good wine, memorable times.
If you still need a gift, get a "luxury tool" that will be appreciated, and enjoyed for years to come.
Our habitual old race cars from The Sebring Historic Races 2014.
Its Friday, its the last Vroom Room of 2013, come in make yourself comfortable, enjoy the cappuccino and biscotti, join the conversation.
We hope that you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas...
In our case this year its been a White Christmas, with snow, freezing rain, snow, and more snow.
Looking back for a few nano seconds, 2013 was marked by change, and although change is constant, in some instances its demanding. If this past year you also effected change in your situation in one fashion or another, keep it up.
We could remind you of this or that from 2013, and perhaps come across as honking our horn. We have a search feature which will find content that is relevant to you, instead of us reviewing what we covered during the year.
Obvious...we had to close the year with a print from Gapingvoid, by now its become a tradition to have a Gapingvoid print on Fridays.
What did we learn in 2013?
- We surely don't have all the answers.
- Increasingly, more than ever you have to be your own editor.
- Its a brave New Reality with a ton of pundits sharing their views.
- Inexpensive/cheap credit makes the world go round, and moves a ton of iron.
- The "Big Picture" is more elusive now than ever before.
- Simplicity is an epic challenge.
- The auto business continues to grasp our attention.
A bit of understanding, respect, generosity, is helpful and goes a long way.
Being thankful, appreciative, is liberating.
Our usual old race cars from the Spa Six Hours 2013.
A few days before Christmas, its Friday, its the Vroom Room, we have cappuccino, and Christmas cookies, make yourself comfortable, join the conversation.
Being reflective a few days prior to Christmas, this past year we have seen a myriad of events, changes, both expected, and often totally unexpected. Immersed 24/7/365 in unrelenting media, here we are taking a few days to bring it closer to home, closer to our family, friends, and some spirituality. We hope that you will do the same.
Ever wonder what happened to the "old fashioned Christmas" with family, friends, the human touch, and obvious sparse technology. We make an effort to remember, and uphold our Christmas traditions. What do you think? Do you do the same?
For the next few days we will be light on the technology, and strong on family, friends, and traditions. As you know traditions, revive many memories...which is a cool thing.
One tradition that is broken this year...no snow, in our climate a Christmas with no snow...is strange.
We urge you to take time to enjoy...
Our habitual old race cars from the 6 Hours of Spa...here yes almost 2,000 photos.
