Vroom Room

Good Morning!

Be Your Own EditorIts another Friday, its also Black Friday in the USA, and its the Vroom Room, come in make yourself comfortable, yes we have cappuccino and biscotti, join the conversation.

We have been (past tense) die hard NASCAR fans for countless years, back in the day there was something special about NASCAR, going to Daytona at least once. The annual tradition of watching the Daytona 500 on TV, and the Winston at Charlotte in May.

A classic case of the "good ole boys" racing, getting aggressive, a little creative, and winning.

At some point as expected for the sake of change, NASCAR moved away from its roots (what made the racing interesting) towards a higher form of being a business, multi car teams, tobacco no longer as predominant, and a myriad of other sponsors who are now reconsidering their positions.

In the meantime Brad Keselowski is the Sprint Cup Champion for 2012, the first for Brad, the first for Roger Penske, and Penske Racing after many years, and Dodge after quitting for 2013 wins a championship.

An informative article from WSJ on the present state of NASCAR..."Nascar's Leaky Fuel Tank".

You hopefully noticed that we covered The Circuit of the Americas on a few occasions, and yes we did watch a portion of the F1 race, and Lewis Hamilton's win...the circuit is a cool place which will impreve with time.

On a different note, if you have an interest in the music scene of the late 1960's and early 70's take a look and listen at The Smith Tapes.

Have you noticed the various publications offering the 99 cent special for one month, to subscribe to their publication...Strada as you know is still free.

A fascinating pictorial rememberance of John Fitch...enjoy!
